Pirates bounce back, beat Dodgers 7-6

The Pirates scored 5 runs in the opening inning off of Johnny Babich and pulled off a 7-6 win in game 3 of the series against Brooklyn.  Babich picks up the loss (he is now 4-7) in 3.2 innings of work, allowing 10 hits and 7 earned runs.  Paul Waner finished 2-for-5 for Pittsburgh with a home run.  Pittsburgh had 12 hits to Brooklyn's 11.

With 1 out in the 1st inning, Paul Waner hit the aforementioned home run to make it 1-0 Pirates.  Then, Fred Lindstrom singled, Arky Vaughan tripled him home.  Vaughan then scored on a passed ball.  But the Pirates weren't done.   Suhr singled, then Pie Traynor doubled him home.  Tommy Thevenow singled home Pie Traynor.

For Brooklyn, Johnny Frederick was a bright spot.  He finished 4-for-4 with 2 RBI's.  Buzz Boyle also had a good game, racking up 3 hits and a run scored.
