Dodgers take first 3 in Chicago

The Dodgers have taken the first 3 in their 4-game series with Chicago, winning this one 8-2 behind a complete game by Dutch Leonard and a 4-RBI game by Jimmy Jordan.  The Dodgers found themselves behind the Cubs in the early part of the game, but tied it in the 3rd and put it out of reach late; they scored 4 in the 9th inning to seal the deal.  Len Koenecke had a 3-hit game, and Jimmy Jordan, as we mentioned, played exceptionally with two 2-out RBI's.

The Cubs had a 2-hit game by Ki-Ki Cuyler, but couldn't manage much offense against a very solid Dutch Leonard.  Babe Phelps had a big RBI double early in the game, but the Cubs only had runners in scoring position in 4 at-bats.

The finale of the series, which the Dodgers hope will result in a 4-game sweep, begins tomorrow.
