Cardinals rebound with 9-3 win

Tex Carleton pitched a complete game, and Joe Medwick finished 3-for-5 with a home run, as the St. Louis Cardinals won today 9-3 over the Dodgers.  The Cardinals scored early and often, and featured 4 innings where crooked numbers were put on the board.  Jack Rothrock also had 3 hits, as did Frankie Frisch.  The Cardinals pounded out 15 hits, the Dodgers managed 10.

With the loss, the Dodgers are now 2-1 in this series against the Cardinals.  They are 4-9 against the Cardinals in the season overall.  The Dodgers are now 9-7 in the month of July, hitting .275 as a team (.739 OPS) and have a 5.10 team ERA during this span.  Buzz Boyle seems to be the only Dodger that has St. Louis' number, as he is hitting .419 against the team (13-for-31) with a home run.
