Mungo improves to 5-0 with win vs. Pittsburgh

Van Mungo has been nothing short of terrific in the opening weeks of this season, winning his 5th game in 5 starts.  He shut down Pittsburgh today to the tune of 8 innings pitched, 5 hits, 1 run (0 earned), 3 walks, 5 strikeouts.  His 1.43 season ERA ranks 4th best in the league.  

The Dodgers offense provided good supplemental support.  Every starter had at least one hit, and hitters overall continue to come through with runners in scoring position.  The Dodgers are now hitting .315 as a team on the season and have scored 120 runs (the Giants have scored just 85).  The Dodgers are hitting .319 on the current road trip. 

The Pirates had 4 errors in this game.  What a sloppy appearance!
