Dodgers topple Phillies

Buzz Boyle and Lonny Frey had 3 hits a piece at the top of the order in a big Dodger win over the Phillies today, 11-2.  The win evens the series at a game a piece.  Johnny Babich pitched well for the Dodgers, going 7 innings, allowing 6 hits, 1 earned run.  He picks up the win.  Philadelphia starter Phil Collins was hammered, going 7 innings, allowing 10 runs (9 earned).

Every Dodgers starter had a hit in the game except for Johnny Babich.  Boyle, Frey, and Lopez all hit home runs.  The Dodgers were an impressive 4-for-11 with runners in scoring position.  They had 4 innings where they scored multiple runs.

The rubber game is tomorrow against these weak hitting Phillies.  If the Dodgers win, they will have gone 4-2 on the road trip before heading back home.
