Dodgers lose 5th straight

The Dodgers lost yet again today, compiling just 6 hits in a 6-1 decision.  Cubs starter Pat Malone went the distance, allowing just the 1 earned run when Hack Wilson hit into a double play in the 4th inning.  Tom Zachary picked up the loss, going 6 innings and allowing 3 earned runs.

The Cubs scored 3 runs in the 1st inning.  Billy Herman started the inning when he reached on a 2-base error by left fielder Hack Wilson.  After an out, Chuck Klein singled, plating a run.  Then, Babe Herman hit a 2-run home run.  The Cubs added 2 more in the 7th.  Tuck Stainback singled to start the inning, but was picked off.  What followed were singles from Pat Malone, Billy Herman, and Woody English.  Chuck Klein grounded out to get the final run.

The Dodgers need to conclude this road trip strong.
