Cuyler walks it off for the Cubs

A large crowd of 32,697 at Wrigley Field watched a special treat today -- their Cubs walked it off.  Outfielder Kiki Cuyler hit one out of the park in the bottom of the 9th, clinching the 4-3 victory for the Chicago team and knocking the Dodgers back to .500 at 11-11.  

The Cubs opened the scoring with a run in the first inning when Chuck Klein hit one out of the park.  But the Dodgers would score 3 in the 3rd to take the lead.  After an out was recorded, Jimmy Jordan doubled, then Dutch Leonard singled.  Buzz Boyle was next up and he singled, scoring a run.  Lonny Frey then doubled, scoring Leonard and putting runners at 2nd and 3rd, 1 out.  Len Koenecke then hit a sacrifice fly, scoring the 3rd run.  Hack Wilson would later fly out for the 3rd out of the inning.

But the Cubs would answer in the 4th with another run when Kiki Cuyler doubled in Floyd Herman.  And the Cubs would tie it in the 6th: Chuck Klein hit his second home run of the game.  Things remained fairly quiet until the bottom of the 9th.  Kiki Cuyler lead off the inning with a home run.
