Dodgers commit 6 errors in Opening Day loss

The boo birds were out at Ebbets Field today, as the Dodgers played sloppy ball - committing 6 errors in a 13-3 loss against Boston.  The errors led to 3 unearned runs.  Boston piled on 6 runs in the 6th, then added 3 runs in the 7th, and 2 runs in innings 8 and 9.  Van Mungo gets the loss.  He didn't pitch particularly well, allowing 5 earned runs in 5.1 innings.

Fred Frankhouse pitched well for Boston.  He nearly went the distance - 8.2 innings pitched, allowing 2 earned runs.  Billy Urbanski finished 3-for-6 with a home run.  Wally Berger, Buck Jordan, and Fred Frankhouse all had multiple hit games.
