The Giants pounded out 20 hits, including four 3-hit performances, and out-slugged the Dodgers in a 15-4 win. Bill Terry was 3-for-5 with 4 RBI's. Hugh Critz hit his 2nd home run in as many games for the Giants. Johnny Frederick had a 3-hit performance for the Dodgers, but the Dodgers only managed half the hits that New York had. Fred Fitzsimmons picks up the win for the Giants. Johnny Babich was stung pretty hard; he allowed 7 earned runs in 6.1 innings.
The score was 4-3 Giants going into the 7th, but New York exploded for 3 runs in the 7th, 3 in the 8th, and 5 in the 9th. Watty Clark was called out of the bullpen for a relief effort. He was bitten badly, allowing 8 runs in just 1.2 innings.
Bill Terry had a big 2-RBI single and Travis Jackson hit an RBI triple in the 9th. New York is just a stronger club than Brooklyn with Ott and Terry in the order. Today was one of those games where New York proved themselves to be a superior team/
