Giants end losing skid with win over Dodgers

The Giants ended a 6-game losing streak with a win today against the Dodgers.  Carl Hubbell went the distance for New York, going 9 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 9 hits.  He wasn't spectacular, but he out-dueled Johnny Babich who went 6 innings and allowing 5 earned runs.

Mel Ott went 2-for-5 with a home run for New York.

New York took the lead for good in the top of the 5th scoring 3 runs on 2 hits.  After one out was recorded, Jo-Jo Moore singled.  Bill Terry then walked.  Mel Ott came up and rifled a 3-run blast.  Ott also had a double.
