Dutch Leonard goes the distance in win

The Dodgers improved their record to 4-5 with a big win over the Braves today.  Dodgers' starter Dutch Leonard pitched a complete game, going 9 innings, allowing 10 hits, 3 earned runs, 1 walk, 5 strikeouts.  Danny Taylor was the hitting star for the Dodgers; he was 3-for-5 with 2 RBI's.

The Dodgers got out to an early lead.  In the first inning, after an out, Frey and Taylor both hit singles.  Sam Leslie then hit a ball back to Braves starter Bob Brown.  Brown bobbled the ball, allowing Leslie to reach and Frey to trot home.  Another single from Joe Stripp made it 2-0.  But Brooklyn wasn't done.  In the 2nd inning they scored another 2 runs.  Al Lopez walked.  Dutch Leonard bunted him to 2nd.  Johnny Frederick walked, and then, with 2 outs, Danny Taylor doubled, plating 2.

The Dodgers added another run in the 6th and 4 runs in the 7th.
