Dodgers even series against Phils

It was a festive day today at Ebbets Field as the Dodgers beat the Philadelphia Phillies before a packed house of 48,367.  The atmosphere was electric at Ebbets, temperatures were in the mid 70's, and the Dodgers got off to an early lead that they would never relinquish.

The Dodgers scored 4 runs in the 1st inning.  Five men in a row reached base to start the inning (Koenecke, Frederick, Taylor, Stripp, and Leslie).

Both teams will play the rubber game tomorrow, and then Brooklyn will depart for a massive road trip.  We will preview that road trip later tonight.
